They say it's good luck to rain on your wedding day. I don't know if I quite believe that but I do know that I am a lucky girl to be married to this man.

One of my favorite moments at my wedding was when our photographer, Jon Canlas, came up to me and said, "I know things didn't work out totally how you wanted them to because of the rain, but..." and I assumed he was going to say something flattering like, "but you looked beautiful" or "the photo's will turn out wonderful" or even "the food was fantastic." No, instead he gave me the biggest compliment of all, he said, "but you have married a good guy. I have photographed a lot of weddings and he is one of the best dudes I have met. Great pick." I hope to never forget that moment. I truly do have one great pick.

Made with Love

Since D was hand crafting the room I decided I should probably contribute something as well. What kind of mother would I look like if I didn't?
Okay, maybe the real reason is I couldn't find any bedding that I actually liked under $600. My mom and I made this bedding together and finally finished yesterday.
Maybe someday I will be helping my own little girl sew baby bedding for her daughter.

ABC & 123

These are not the old school blocks I grew up with as a kid, but as an adult I LOVE them! Hopefully, our baby girl will have the same love for typography as her mother because these will be the blocks she gets to play with...well when I'm done with them that is.

Made by notNeutral and they can be found here

38 Weeks and Counting

About a month ago a man at work came up to me and said "Your life is about to change forever," after an intense stare as if to make sure I fully grasped what he was implying he said, "but don't worry it'll be a good thing." Since then I have had several other similar encounters. What is this mixed message people are telling me?
Coming from a girl who has a hard time cutting off price tags or throwing away receipts just in case I decide I don't like it, this baby thing is becoming increasingly nerve racking. What if I'm not a good mom? What if she and I don't bond like you see in the movies? I'm fairly sure there is no return policy on this one.
A weird sense of competing emotions has come over me, I'm scared of the thought of raising a child but at the same time so giddy about thoughts of what she might look like and kissing her little baby cheeks.
So in this last couple of weeks, you can find me re-reading Baby Wise and What to Expect, doing a final cram session before becoming a parent and "my life changes forever...."

P.S. Yes, I am the world's worst self-photographer. This is a straight as they get.

China Doll

This is my next project for our little Asian baby! Caity, now that I know you have mad skills, do you wanna help?

You can find the instructions here. Martha strikes again.

Going Some Place?

These cute do-it-yourself luggage tags from Martha make me want to plan a trip just so I can spot them coming off the baggage carousel and proudly snag my bag.

Nursery Rooms Galore

I have loved designing and decorating our nursery. I love walking by the little room and taking a sneak peak (final pics to come shortly), but I have to admit ours is NOTHING like these incredible rooms! Wow, what lucky little babies get to wake up in rooms like these?!!!

Mama To Be

D and I received the nicest package in the mail this weekend! New mama Marta must have known how hard this last couple of weeks can be. She surprised us with the nicest package which really lifted my spirits and made me think about the exciting times to come (instead of my swollen ankles, puffy face, etc...).

darling little pink polo outfit

Custom Martadesign cards to send baby thank you's.

Considering the fact that she just had her own new addition only two weeks ago I cannot believe her generosity! Thank you so much Marta! You really made my weekend. The first thank you card I send will be straight to you!
