If I were a cartoon

One of my fav winter songs this year and the cutest music video I have ever seen. If I were a cartoon I'd love to be the brunette in this video. Cait, wanna be the red head?

Merry Christmas!

The snow was so bad today that Deboro had to throw on his snow gear and hop in his truck to help our neighbors who were stuck in the snow. Then he had fun making snow angels in our yard.

Elle celebrates her first Christmas! Here she is showing off her new watch (look closely).

"Hey Mommy, look at the monkey Santa got for me. It's head is bigger than my whole body!"

Sidenote: I always tell D that if he were an animal he would be a monkey and he insists that he would be a tiger, but I think I finally have my proof.

Merry Christmas!!! We hope you have a wonderful holiday!

B-day

Boston's Day!!! Happy first birthday Boston. We love you SOOO much. I can't believe it's been a year already. You have sure made it one fun year! Your hair is to die for and your smile is so contagious.
Wherever you go people come up to your mommy and tell her how cute you are and how they can't believe how much hair you have.
My favorite things about you are:
-they way you move your head from side to side whenever you hear music.
-how you wave backwards to everyone.
-your cute little voice when you say, "Da da da."
-and of course your Ashton Kutcher hair.

Tutu

Elle and I decided to do an impromptu photo shoot with the tutu Caitlin made for her. We had so much fun!

But by the end she got a little sad and decided she was done playing dress up for today.

Thanks Cait!

2 months

At her 2 month apt last week she weighed 9.12 lbs and grew an inch. It was so sad seeing her get her shots. She cried so hard her face turned purple! But the doctor did tell us that she has an unusually strong neck for her age-maybe it's just the little fat rolls holding her neck up.

Elle asked for new parents...just kidding.

Announcing...

We finally sent out the birth announcements. I decided to keep it simple. I did the photography, and Caity was so nice to help me with the layout. She is amazing with photoshop.

(And the best part: all said and done they only cost $18! )

Utah Man am I

GO UTES!!!!

The best fan's in the stadium-Andy, Nikki, and Greg! Seriously, you should have seen Andy going crazy only a minute into the game. I wish I had a photo of he and Deboro fighting with the Cougar fans.
My favorite part about this pic is the BYU fan's face in disbelief in the background. And check out the score board.

We met up with Dana at half-time and she made her famous sugar cookies in the shapes of footballs and U's. Her cookies are so good even a total stranger asked if he could have one.

With 2 minutes still on the clock U fans rushed the field and the officials took down the goal posts. We killed 'em: 48-24.

Mandy flew in just to go to the game. She is true Ute fan!

Elle pouting when we picked her up from grandma's house because we told her she wasn't old enough to go to the game. Maybe next year...

We missed you Beth and Ryan.

Happy Weekend

Here's to sleeping in on Saturdays, waking up with crazy hair and not caring one bit about what we should be doing (grocery shopping, going to the gym, blah, blah, blah).

Undefeated

The crowd rushed the field last night as the Utes remain undefeated! Bring it on BYU!

VOTE

What a historic election. I've never voted before but couldn't pass up the opportunity this time around.

Elle and I are headed off to cast our ballots...Wish I were wearing this cute little Charlie Brown T, but there are more important things at hand, I know.

Sugar Daddy

Deboro is such a good dad. Elle prefers to be burped by him, loves to nap with him, and he has even made up quite the adorable poopie diaper song that he sings to her as he changes her diapers. He's such a good dad that when he say's things like "Did you even get up with her last night?" (uh yeah, only 5 times while you were soundly sleeping) I will forgive him.

D has named this the "concerned face."

Elle loves taking naps with her dad. She loves falling asleep on his chest. When I can't get her to stop crying, all he has to do his prop her on his chest, pat her little back, and she is out like a light.

They say it's good luck to rain on your wedding day. I don't know if I quite believe that but I do know that I am a lucky girl to be married to this man.

One of my favorite moments at my wedding was when our photographer, Jon Canlas, came up to me and said, "I know things didn't work out totally how you wanted them to because of the rain, but..." and I assumed he was going to say something flattering like, "but you looked beautiful" or "the photo's will turn out wonderful" or even "the food was fantastic." No, instead he gave me the biggest compliment of all, he said, "but you have married a good guy. I have photographed a lot of weddings and he is one of the best dudes I have met. Great pick." I hope to never forget that moment. I truly do have one great pick.
