Dark Knight

Dark, suspenseful, and extremely well-written, this is a must see. The critics will be dissecting this movie for years to come as it will inevitably go down in the best movies of all time.
Some of the best acting I have ever seen. Especially the joker. D asked me if he could still win the Oscar even though he has passed away. I don't know about the rules on that, but he definitely deserves it.

Seriously, why are you still reading this? Go see it now...
Then come back and tell me what you thought.

Scandal

What's this? Apparently Jessica has had a sudden "injury" and dropped out of the contest. I'm calling her bluff. I think the pressure and the harsh judges got to her and she dropped out. I guess well have to wait until tomorrow night to find out. But the worst part is that means Comfort is back in!!!

What happens to the Top Ten who go on tour? Will it be Jessica or Comfort? I am banning the tour if Comfort is in it. My husband can dance better than she can!

Check out this link for more detials.

To do or not to do?

My current debate...birth announcements. I love receiving mail, especially when it is something as cute as this...

But what do people do with these? Put them up on their fridge for a week and toss them to the recycling bin? My mother may be the only one who saves these things.

I am thinking I may pass on this tradition, but then again here are a few reasons to change my mind.

These can all be found here

And for the record, Mandy, I still have Seth's birth announcement hanging on my fridge.

Photo of the Day

In college a photography professor of mine had us submit a photo of the day for our assignment. He pressed us to take a picture of something in our ordinary day, to make art out of the mundane. I struggled with this. My life is great but it's not art.

I miss that class. I loved looking through the other students' eyes and seeing a glimpse of their lives. It was interesting to see how different all of our lives were. I remember the people with kids who couldn't seem to find another subject worthy of the camera, a med school student, a computer geek, and the guy who would take the most boring pictures of rocks or the sidewalk and defend them when our teacher would critique them.

I have decided to take up this past time again and use my blog to post a sporadic 'Photo of the Day.' Feel free to critique.

Lace Iron-on

You may remember the top image from Blueprint magazine. They transformed a men's Banana Republic shirt into a lacy women's button up. I found it again online the other day and made a little lace baby top. I think this will be so cute peaking under her little jean jacket. Next up...lace bibs! That is, if I can find any that don't say "I love Grandma" or "My way or the high way on them" on them.
