To do or not to do?

My current debate...birth announcements. I love receiving mail, especially when it is something as cute as this...

But what do people do with these? Put them up on their fridge for a week and toss them to the recycling bin? My mother may be the only one who saves these things.

I am thinking I may pass on this tradition, but then again here are a few reasons to change my mind.

These can all be found here

And for the record, Mandy, I still have Seth's birth announcement hanging on my fridge.

I say do them but dont send them to everyone you know! Just to your close family and friends who wont throw them away! Its truly a waste if you send them to everyone you know unless you have the money to "waste"! ya know? just my opinion!!!

although these announcements can be done in a tacky and cheesy way, I know you can do them with taste and style! it's a MUST. i'm already looking forward to receiving baby pantas' in the mail, and yes, it will be on my bulletin board for an undetermined amount of time.

I would do something like the one with the bird in the tree. I love getting mail, and I am just like you.. I save every thing cute.

I am with Whitney on just sending them to close friends and family.

And with Holly on the whole you have fabulous taste and you can't do wrong.

You must fall into the other category of "what do people do with these?": Allow them to become refrigerator artifacts. Peeling away layer after layer can provide a history of what happened. I'm pretty sure we had you guys' wedding invite up until just recently. :) I think our last move might have given us a reason to take it off the fridge.
