The quaint little town of Rupert, Idaho is so charming I hope to go back very soon! We visited the dairy (the middle picture) and took in the country side. I'm pretty sure there are more animals in Rupert than people.

We loved going to the Festival of Trees. Our favorite trees were a tree decorated entirely with candy (of course that was our favorite!) and the Dr. Suess themed tree.
We also enjoyed the lights at Temple Square. However, we went on the coldest night of the year as evidence by Elle's face in her Eskimo coat and the women's gloves that D is wearing because even he was that cold.

Both D and I agree that Christmas morning was our favorite day of 2009. Opening presents with my family and Elle was (excuse the cheesiness) kind of magical. Seeing her eyes open up when she opened up the package fake food that my brother gave her was worth every penny.

I sure wish they made some of Elle's shoes in my size. But they look cuter on her anyway.
We have a tradition in our family to go around the table and say what we are thankful for before we eat. It's my favorite tradition that we have. I am so thankful for my friends and family. I consider the people in my life my most prized possessions and I often wonder if they know it. I know I don't express it very well, so luckily Elle made a cute little card to tell you all how thankful we both are for you.
